Meet Danielle, Our August 2011 Client of the Month

September 9, 2011
By

Danielle, who lives in Dallas, started working with us after injuries sustained as a marathon runner. She wanted to rebuild her strength while healing.

Watch her interview or read the interview transcript below to see how Danielle’s success could inspire you!

Danielle DiLiberti:
My name is Danielle DiLiberti and I’m from Dallas, Texas.

New Wave Fitness:
Danielle, what was your life like before you started training with us?

Danielle DiLiberti:
Before I started training with New Wave Fitness, I was a big runner, a half-marathon runner. I became injured and I kind of just stopped doing a lot  of exercise after that, to heal. My main physical fitness activities were running, and following my injury, I would just do elliptical rider, ride the recumbent bike, but no actual weight lifting or anything besides cardio.

I was a little skeptical at first because of the injury. I didn’t want to further injure myself. But then I knew I didn’t feel good and I needed something to get me back on my training routine and get me excited about working out again, so I decided to go with New Wave Fitness. Since I’ve started working with New Wave Fitness, I’ve seen a significant difference in my body style. I’ve trimmed down, I’ve lost about 10 pounds. I used to be able to do two push-ups; now I can do 40 push-ups.

New Wave Fitness:
Wow! And you said you’ve lost some weight in the process.

Danielle DiLiberti:
Yes, I’ve lost about 10 pounds since then. I’ve gone down about one size in my clothing, which is exciting for me. I feel better, I fit better in my clothes, I have more confidence about myself. I definitely have more energy, and also having a scheduled trainer, it works with my work time, my workout time, and makes my life a whole lot easier.

New Wave Fitness:
Great! If you knew somebody who was on the fence about working with our programs, what would you say to them?

Danielle DiLiberti:
I would encourage them to definitely call New Wave Fitness—absolutely professional, has helped me achieve results I never thought I could achieve, and has just been a great decision.

New Wave Fitness:
Thank you very much, Danielle, for sharing your story with us. We really appreciate it.

Danielle DiLiberti:
Thank you.

New Wave Fitness Client Success Story

“Nancy Hooker”

Nancy and Rick Hooker were previously recognized for their successes with the New Wave Fitness Ultimate Program.  This is the in-home training program we provide to our clients as well.  Nancy and Rick experienced fantastic results where they lost 50lbs together.

I stress the importance of goals with every program we offer.  Goals propel you forward and that’s exactly what happened when Nancy set strong, personal, and reachable goals. Nancy set forth to run her next ½ marathon 15 minutes faster than her last time.  She has trained hard and been consistent with her program since she set this goal.

Nancy and her Grand Son Tanner,<BR>“I was so encouraged to approach the finish under 2:20 on the gun time, it was awesome!”

Nancy and her Grand Son Tanner,“I was so encouraged to approach the finish under 2:20 on the gun time, it was awesome!”

Nancy Smashes Her Goal!!

Her results were amazing, she smashed her previous time by almost 32 minutes.  Her previous time was 2:48:41 (2 hours 48 minutes and 41 seconds) and she ran it in 2:17:18.  She flew with a 10:29 pace per mile (10 minutes and 29 second per mile pace).  That’s 2 minutes and 24 seconds faster per mile than her previous time.

Nancy Hooker!!
I am thrilled to be under 10 and a half (slow as that might be for others :-) and I really appreciate your help in achieving that goal.  I’m now
shooting to get under 2:15 for the White Rock (in December) and thinking
about doing a full marathon in Feb – probably Austin, but Ft Worth is also
in Feb, so we’re thinking about it (Valerie and I)
.”

I have a feeling that you will be hearing from Nancy soon.  I will make sure to let you know when she reaches her new goals!!!!

Remember, just working  hard will not get you to your goals.  You have to work smart as well.  Our fitness program helped Nancy and can help you as well!!

“Get the full body workout you have been missing and have fun doing it!”

Anthony Robbins, ” Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”

Whether you are a current boot camper, have been with us before or just interested.  Goal setting is absolutely crucial to your success.

If getting shape is important and you’re reading this because you want to get started; then, it’s time to set a goal to complete a one month Boot Camp.  What’s the worst that could happen?  You might get a little sore.

Maybe you started the Boot Camp or some other program, but just got off track.  It’s easy to do without setting goals.

Even if you are currently training with us, you may need to reevaluate your purpose and regain your focus.

Can you answer this one questions? “What would you like to achieve in the next 30 days?”.

If you can’t answer this question, you are not alone.  Just keep in mind that one thing common among successful people is their reliance on goal setting.

“What should your plan of action be?”

Take some time and write it down.  Put it on your refrigerator.  Make sure it’s something that can be achieved in the next 30 days and is as personal as possible.  Remember, in order to move towards your goals, you should commit to picking up healthier habits that are easier to stick to.

While it might be challenging to get into a workout program right now, consistent practice, commitment, and a supportive plan of actions will make this a snap by the end of your 30-day commitment.

Always strive to move in a positive direction.  Avoid sliding back for extended periods of time.  And should you have a challenging time, just get back on the 30-day improvement plan.  Don’t be afraid to start again with a positive and re-focused attitude.

Change takes hard work.  I assure you that you will be successful if you learn how to set good goals and strive to reach them.

Debra Owen’s, Dallas Boot Camp for Women Success Story

“Debra Owen’s Success Story”

I’d like you to meet Debra Owen a participant of Dallas “Women’s Boot Camp” since May.

For years Debra was an avid runner, running up to 35 miles a week often
finishing off with a 10 mile weekend run. In 2005, Debra had to give up
this workout program because of hip problems. After losing 2 years of her
life, Debra realized that “You come to a point where you do something or
give up.” It was then that Debra decided to set a goal to lose 30lbs and
run a half- marathon before her 50th birthday.

Before starting the Dallas Boot Camp for Women, Debra purchased an elliptical that just happened to come with a free personal training consult coupon in the mail. While it took Debra a little time before she called, she states: “I was too embarrassed to call because I was worried what they would think of me when they met me since I certainly did not look like I spent much time exercising,” she decided to call anyway.

After talking to Debra I suggested that she check out the New Wave Fitness
Website. It was there that Debra noticed an article on the “Women’s Boot
Camp” along with a picture of a woman not much older than herself. That was
enough to peak Debra’s interest and after talking to Debra more on the
subject she decided to give “Women’s Boot Camp” a try and showed up at
5:15am the next day.

Debra had dropped 10lbs between November and the first day of boot camp in May. As of today she has lost 1.5 inches in the hips, a place where she can
actually see a big difference, and a total of 13lbs. She no longer feels
that big hips are just a fact of life.

Debra has also noticed that nutrition is wonderful. She used to obsess
about food and now she doesn’t even think about it. Debra states: ““This
training is exactly what I have been looking for more than 25 years.
“Something that fits into my lifestyle and WORKS.””

Debra says: “I know that Jason tells me that I am the one that has accomplished my “new goal”, but I think it is important that you all
realize how much your contribution, encouragement, commitment, and support to people like me is so important and appreciated.”

““My new goal is not to lose 30lbs anymore or even run the half marathon.”
“My new goal is to be fit, healthy, and comfortable in my own body.” “The
benefit is I get to wear clothes I love again, not obsess over my size, and
the biggest of all is the feeling of confidence I have in just 9 short weeks.

DFW Women Boot Campers Lose 500 lbs!

June 5, 2009
By

cimg1643I am always reading books, articles or emails about fitness, and I see this title “Overweight women looses 75lbs in 4 Weeks” or others like it all over the place.  I titled this article “DFW Women Boot Campers lose 500lbs” because I wanted you to understand that you have to look beyond the title to understand the program.  You have to understand that quick fixes are temporary and detrimental to your health.  The New Wave Boot Camp for Women is not a quick fix and promotes a life-time of health.

cimg1646Our Women Boot Campers have been successful, and I mean every one of them.  No, they may not have lost 75lbs.  They have succeeded in participating in a program that will improve their lives.  As a result, they have made new friends, had fun working out, began new habits and achieved personal goals.  It takes courage to put aside your old life-style, set achievable goals and adopt a new life-style that will help you reach your goals.

If you are afraid of making the step that just might change your life then let me help you.  My program is for all levels of fitness, and yes itis a BLAST!!  All we need is for you to commit to one Boot Camp session.  Join hundreds of other Boot Campers that have succeeded in putting their old life-style of laziness aside and committed to become their own personal success story.  You see, we don’t want to flood the market with just one success story.  We want every one of the women of the New Wave Boot Camp for Women that have been with us from day 1 to be The Boot Camp for Women success story.

cimg1608The ladies of the New Wave Fitness Boot Camp for Women have been working hard.  Some of our boot campers have been working for up to a year now, and they are ready to show everyone the results you can achieve from hard work.  All of them have sacrificed a couple of hours of sleep each week and tough work-out’s to get to this point.  I am proud of each one of them.  Did I mention “They Had Fun Doing It”!!!

cimg1613I know that there are some of you that have been on the fence.  You want to start some kind of program, but you have allowed bad habits and negative thoughts to determine your final decision.  Now is the time get rid of the bad habits and adopt a positive mind set. Remember, you still have 3 months before summer is in full swing.  You can see the results you want at the peak of summer, and have fun doing it!cimg1619

Many of our clients have dropped the monotonous gym work-outs, because the Boot Camp provides a fun work that you will be willing to stay with, and it doesn’t get in the way of your schedule.  All you have to do is take action just like Tricia Picket one of our top Boot Campers.

Hi gang! Hut, the new blog looks great – you do such a good job of keeping us informed of what’s going on. Since my first two boot camps with NewWave Fitness in August/September 2009, my fitness level has reached heights I did not think possible……I am thankful to Hut, Jason and the NewWave Fitness team for getting me healthy, happy and in the best shape I’ve ever been in.

“Sandra Rojas”
I am definitely having a good experience with the boot camp. I especially liked it this Friday since the instructor really stressed our bodies, which is what I was looking for. So if we can have more work outs like the one this Friday that would be great!

Tammy Fulcher has DONE IT!!

Before I go any further, I would like to let you know a little bit about Tammy.  She is one of the stronger Boot Campers that we have had.  No, she wasn’t the best at push-ups or the fastest Camper out there.  In fact, Tammy is known for her trotting ability rather than her jogging ability.

Tammy has been a stand out because she brings it every day.  She worked both hard and smart every day.  She learned the exercises, adopted our nutritional program and gave the maximum effort she could give.  This is why she lost 17lbs and 10inches, and was the recipient for the Most Improved Mile Award.

To see her uplifting Testimonial  Go Here!!

TAMMY HAS DONE IT!!

Tammy has used The Dalllas Bootcamp For Women as a starting point for a new “Healthier Beginning”.  Tammy has moved on with her life, she has surpassed the mountains of obstacles that have held her back.  She has reclaimed her health and her personal freedom!

You can see below that Tammy has gone from trotting to mountain climbing.  She said it was one of the most challenging things that she has every done!
