“Get the full body workout you have been missing and have fun doing it!”

Anthony Robbins, ” Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.”

Whether you are a current boot camper, have been with us before or just interested.  Goal setting is absolutely crucial to your success.

If getting shape is important and you’re reading this because you want to get started; then, it’s time to set a goal to complete a one month Boot Camp.  What’s the worst that could happen?  You might get a little sore.

Maybe you started the Boot Camp or some other program, but just got off track.  It’s easy to do without setting goals.

Even if you are currently training with us, you may need to reevaluate your purpose and regain your focus.

Can you answer this one questions? “What would you like to achieve in the next 30 days?”.

If you can’t answer this question, you are not alone.  Just keep in mind that one thing common among successful people is their reliance on goal setting.

“What should your plan of action be?”

Take some time and write it down.  Put it on your refrigerator.  Make sure it’s something that can be achieved in the next 30 days and is as personal as possible.  Remember, in order to move towards your goals, you should commit to picking up healthier habits that are easier to stick to.

While it might be challenging to get into a workout program right now, consistent practice, commitment, and a supportive plan of actions will make this a snap by the end of your 30-day commitment.

Always strive to move in a positive direction.  Avoid sliding back for extended periods of time.  And should you have a challenging time, just get back on the 30-day improvement plan.  Don’t be afraid to start again with a positive and re-focused attitude.

Change takes hard work.  I assure you that you will be successful if you learn how to set good goals and strive to reach them.

Are You Making Excuses or Taking Action?

Are you too busy for exercise? That’s probably the most used excuse known to fitness.  I can relate with this disingenuous excuse.

It crawls all over you, grabs a hold of you making it easy to miss a couple of days – and then a week, a month, a year – and after several years you
look up and can’t believe it.

While all of this is going on, this substance called “your body” is wasting away from lack of use.  Your health is going south fast, but in your mind it’s okay because you’re “busy”.

There is a solution that many women in the DFW area have experienced.  The women of the Dallas Boot Camp for Women have the desire to do away with
these excuses and bring-it every day.

Why has the Boot Camp been a success for women through-out the DFW area?
It’s just fun, and they are seeing the results.  Fun and exercising!  Is
it possible?  You better believe it.

All you have to do is read the articles, listen to the videos and look at
the pictures we have put on the blog.  You will see one common theme with
all of the women of the Boot Camp.  It’s Fun!!

For all of you that are or have been a part of the Dallas Boot Camp for Women,
thank you for making this experience a success.

If you’re on the fence and still think you’re too busy, just give it a shot.
Remember, you can try us for free!

Stay Fit!!

Are you being fooled?

Why is it when you first start a new diet and exercise program you run to the scale to see how you’re doing only to find out that you’ve gained weight.

What’s that all about? Are you being fooled? Are you being scammed?

No, you’re not being fooled and you’re definitely not being scammed. One of the most frequent questions that we get asked by our client’s is why am I gaining weight when I’m sticking to my diet and following my exercise program?

Not to worry. It’s perfectly normal to gain weight when you start a new diet and exercise program.

Picture this, one woman is 5′ tall, weighs 140 and wears a size 0, the other woman is 5’6″ tall, weighs 140 and wears a size 8. How is it that the two women weigh the same but the shorter woman wears a smaller size?

Shouldn’t she wear a bigger size?

One thing you need to know is that muscle weighs more than fat. The shorter woman has less body fat; therefore she weighs more for her height because she has more muscle.

So, not only does she look smaller she also wears a smaller size. In order to eliminate fat and replace it with muscle you need to eat a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water and incorporate an exercise program into your daily routine.

So keep in mind that when you first start a new diet and exercise program don’t be alarmed if you gain weight instead of lose.

There’s not just one thing that will guarantee your success, but a combination of everything that will give you the results that you’re looking for.

The Women of  The Dallas Boot Camp for Women

What type of fitness person are you?

In my 9 years of guiding men and women to achieve their health and fitness
goals, I have come to the realization that there are two types of exercise and
fitness people. Those who think exercise and fitness just deal with the body; or those who think exercise and fitness include the whole person – muscles, mind, and soul.

I’ve always felt that those who think exercise and fitness are only for the
muscles, joints, and organs were missing out on a huge component to success!  Although exercise and fitness serve a GREAT purpose physically, it has much more of a mental benefit.

It’s time to start thinking about your exercise and fitness habits and the path
you’re taking.  It’s time to focus on your reality and how it’s affecting you
and those around you.  Exercise and fitness are about positive change, both
physical and mental. You first start making positive changes inside; you have to change the way you see yourself and then the outside physical changes will soon follow.

If you find yourself wandering aimlessly through your health and fitness
“program” without mental focus, your progress will be very slow even though
you’re moving your body.  But, if you see exercise and fitness as a time to
focus on your thoughts and bodily motions and envision how you want to look and feel as you exercise – then you will soon realize the true power of the results you can achieve.

Whether you are part of the Dallas Boot Camp for Women or interested in Boot Camp, it’s time to get mentally prepared.  Set up a powerful mental image in your mind – take a deep breath to absorb MORE life – then get up, give each workout 130% effort, or use that energy to get on the phone and get started with us today!
